Yeay! Finally! The very first Girls’ Generation concert in Indonesia! Let’s make another PABO project!

Part I: The PABO project

For the solo concert this time, we wanted to make something quite unique for the girls, and we decided to make pink shuttlecocks with their derp pictures on them. We made 18 shuttlecocks in total and each shuttlecock is for one member with three different photos on it sides. We put our logo and sewed it into the shuttlecocks.

It was quite a hard work to make them but the result made our fatigue subsided! We aren't expecting much about this shuttlecock project, as long as the girls the girls see it, we are already satisfied!

And we also wanted to make the girls to remember us (referring to the 120922 SM Town INA) and so we brought our derp face masks again, with several new addition, the soshi pets!

Part II: D-Day (I Got A Soshi!)

We arrived at the venue (MEIS Ancol, Jakarta) at 6 AM and the queuing line was already crowded. There were sones already staying at the venue since the day before. But we were quite lucky because we’ve got fast track ID so we didn’t need to queue like the normal ticket holders.

There were some miscommunication problems with the security and the promoters and the fast trackers kept queuing at the wrong spot. By 1 pm, the promoters put us in the right line and guided us to get into the venue. It was so hectic; pushing, running and shouting here and there, we felt like we are in a Running Man episode.  

At 2.45 pm, we finally got into the venue and luckily we got at the spot that we wanted, we were right in front of the railings! Since the venue was quite small, the distance from our spot to the stage was really close like 2-3 meters away. The crowd kept chanting “So Nyuh Shi Dae! So Nyuh Shi Dae!” demanding to get the concert started.

4:35 pm, the translator asked us to sang our national anthem, Indonesia Raya, before the concert started. All the crowds from the seating area stood and all of us sang together. A few minutes later, the lights were finally off and the concert has started! When they came out onto the stage the crowds were cheering and screaming like crazy. Soon after they sang Animal and the screamings were getting crazier because we finally got to see them crawling like they were Yuri’s pets (lol).  

They didn’t perform Talk Talk and got straight to The Boys. And then it was time for I Got A Boy’s very first performance in Indonesia! The chanting and the cheering were so deafening but it was really fun nonetheless! When they were introducing themselves, sadly we hardly listened to anything they were saying because of the loud cheering. The members introduced themselves by saying “Selamat sore! Saya (insert member here) (Good evening! My name is (…)) and Sooyoung and Yuri spoke something in Bahasa Indonesia but we couldn’t hear them. And the translator’s accent was so funny we didn’t really get what she was translating to us lol. There was birthday paper project for Hyoyeon and we raised papers with “It’s HYOurs again!” written on it, Hyoyeon seemed touched but Sooyoung told us to celebrate her birthday later.

The big ass sized make up kit properties were given to them which means, it was time for Say Yes! The girls were being their usual dorky selves. Yoona and Jessica were playing together in their own world. Sooyoung asked Hyoyeon to put the giant mirror in front of her so she could checked herself out (in a dorky manner of course) and she whipped her hair lol. Sunny and Tiffany were hitting and teasing with each other! At the feather fan part, Sica took Sooyoung’s fan, and Soo also took Sica’s fan. They realized their mistake after seeing each other and quickly exchanged their fan lol.

After Dancing Queen was done, we were so surprised that they came down to the stage to walk through under it to get to the backstage. Sunny, Hyoyeon, Tiffany and Yoona were passing by right in front of us, they were so close we could almost reach them, they were like less than a meter in front of us. Seeing them that close shut down our mind temporarily, our feet were shaking and we didn’t even get to take their picture.

During Mr. Taxi, Tiffany kept on giggling about nothing in particular (we think she was high on Red Bulls or something lol) and during the Taeyeon and Tiffany duet, she connected her finger with Taeyeon’s and then smiled dorkily. In Flower Power, Tiffany purposely did a reversed dance in JeTi’s “Do you wanna be my lover?’ part.

And during the Fairytale Princesses VTR before Paparazzi, we saw Tiffany staring at the huge screen waiting for them to come out, but the funny thing was when they were getting ready to get inside the boxes, she and Yuri were late. In Reflection, during the intro where they did the hip dance, Hyoyeon got on her knees to fix her heels.

The Seohyun student-teacher VTR was finally being played, and during the hologram part there was someone standing alone behind the hologram screen and then she realized that that wasn’t her time to stand there so she ran back to the side and hide lol. We were supposed to raise our pink fingers coated in pink fluorescent ink in Promise, but sadly the project was failed because the ink was already fading. But the “Hangsang ni gyeote isseulke (Always by your side)” paper project was a huge success! The girls were touched and they seemed thankful for it.

At the beginning of Genie, Yuri mistakenly stood in Soo’s position. They quickly realized it and giggled. Sones are always anticipating Tiffany’s “DJ, put it back on!” part everytime they are performing Genie, but there was something wrong with her mic so we couldn’t realy hear the “Indonesia! Put it back on!” But because her voice was naturally loud, we could hear the glimpse of it lol. There was some technical audio problems from the beginning and some parts were unheard of and we could see that it made Taeyeon’s mood turned sour at the beginning, but thanks to the amazing crowd not only Taeyeon, the rest of the girls’ mood was the best that night and they were really happy! During Can’t Take my Eyes off You; Yuri, Hyoyeon and Tiffany did the dorky dance together. Seohyun tried to joined them and she covered Tiffany’s eyes from behind when Fany sang “can’t take my eyes off you~”

During the ending of My J, the "My lovely J~", Yuri pointed at Jessica. In Jakarta, Sooyoung was the poor chosen one as the victim in Himnae, she tried to hit Fany too lol. The fanchants for GEE was super loud to the point it was deafening our ears. After they finished sang Gee, the girls asked us to repeat the fanchant, when they sang “neomu neomu banjjak banjjak nuni busyeo…’ we were like “NO! NO! NO! NO! NO!” even Hyoyeon covered her ears because of how loud we were. Tiffany asked us to make pink wave, but we didn’t really know what we were supposed to do so we ended up just waving our lightsticks  instead, and she was playfully annoyed at us lol. Taeyeon and Tiffany were talking and whispering about something, we think it was something about their makeup. Tiffany also took Taeyeon’s headband from the floor and gave it to her. Jessica kept walking near us to drink several times, Yuri offered her a bottle but she declined because she already had one. Later Yoona joined the drinking team. Since Yoona was the closest that stood near us, the crowd in Pink B chanted her name and she looked at us, smiled and waved. We also did the same to Tiffany and Yuri, but Tiffany was too busy talking while Yuri acted like she didn’t hear us at all lol.

It was time for Forever. The girls were standing in a circle facing the crowd, and Sunny and Seohyun were the ones facing at us. We waved our derp masks at them, they both chuckled and they could hardly sing and tried not to laugh. Seohyun gave a flying kiss and smiled at us, one of our pabosone members was crying because her bias was Seohyun, Seohyun saw her and mouthed “uljima (don’t cry)” at her while smiling.

During encore there was another project to chant “let’s go Soshi let’s go!” but we already getting tired so after 5 to 10 seconds chanting it we stopped lol and we also chanted “we want more!”. The girls were finally come out for encore and performed Into The New World. The fan chant for each member was amazing. They didn’t sing Love and Girls and How Great Is Your Love. The concert was finally come to an end as they performed Twinkle. The girls were running here and there and it was also the time for us to throw our pink shuttlecocks, we tried to throw only one shuttlecock first and it landed on the runway. Nobody noticed it, until Jessica saw it but she ignored it. We threw the rest of the shuttlecocks onto the stage. And again Jessica was the first one to notice the shuttlecocks but she tried to kick them away off the stage (no Jessica we were not mad at you, we were glad you’re just being the typical cool you), but since it didn’t fall she grabbed them and threw them to the crowd. We also threw our derp masks onto the stage. The rest of the girls finally saw them. Sunny grabbed a shuttlecock and laughed and threw it into the crowd in Pink B, Taeyeon saw and took one too, she took it and threw to the opposite area. Sooyoung saw our masks that landed on the floor but she just chuckled at them.

Taeyeon also played with another shuttlecock, she played the shuttlecock with her mic and it hit Yuri's head lol~. Yuri was mad and Tae hugged her to apologize~ Cute moment!

It was time for them to get to the main stage and did the final bow. Someone threw a rilakkuma plushie to the stage but like some kind of magic Taeyeon catched it without even looking at it (100 score for Taengoo!) and threw it back to the crowd.

She, Seohyun and Sooyoung kept saying “Terima Kasih! (Thank you!)” and “sampai jumpa!” (see you!/goodbye!”).  Sooyoung said “Indonesia, such a beautiful city” lolol. Taeyeon teased us by giving us three flying kisses and it made the crowd went wild. Hyoyeon and Seohyun were the last two that walked into the backstage but they came out again and did a peace sign together.

There were lots of pairing moments such as Yoona and Jessica playing together, Tiffany playing with Yuri’s hair, Sooyoung and Sunny teasing each other, Yuri and Jessica playfully bumping each other, Hyoyeon and Yuri dancing together like total dorks, Tiffany wiping Jessica’s sweat, Sunny and Jessica whispering to each other and so did Taeyeon and Tiffany, Seohyun playing with Tiffany, Yoona and Yuri playing together like little kids (but the conclusion is: Tiffany is everyone’s wife).

Everytime Sunny, Yoona, Yuri and Seohyun passing by near us, they kept glancing towards us because they saw our derp masks, they hardly held in their laughter. Jessica did that too, but she didn’t laugh nor smiled she only stole glances at us (just Jessica being the typical Jessica). One time, Tiffany saw the masks that our pabosone boys held and she pointed at them and gave them a love sign (we quite forgot what the song was, but it was when they wore the red and white dresses).

We were so happy about our shuttlecock project because they noticed it and they threw it to the crowds as if it was their own signed balls lol. Last year’s SM Town was the best night in our lives but this night was way better. We wish to continue supporting the girls with our PABO projects and make them happy :)
